Photos back in action

I still can't send photos via MMS but I have configured the phone so that I can send pics via email. This has the added advantage that I can send them at full resolution but obviously this slows things down a bit. But hey it works and that's the main thing.

Edit: at 15:30 (or thereabouts) all the missing MMS suddenly turned up which meant I had to go away and delete them all.

No pics !

I tried uploading a few pics via MMS and Flickr but nothing seems to be coming through either yesterday or today. Don't know if it's a Vodafone problem or what (they usually claim ignorance).

Data Protection Officers response regarding Tesco

So Tesco can avoid their legal obligations by claiming "human error". Might be a handy excuse the next time I do something wrong ..

Tesco and the supply of personal information - part 2.

Back on the 11 October 2005 I requested a copy of my pesonal details from Tesco. The data is supposed to be supplied within 40 days but it wasn't and I had to make a complaint to the Office of the Data Protection Commssioner who dawdled a bit and eventually after prodding responded that they would send my request to Tesco.

Today 20 January 2006 I received the requested information - 100 days after making my initial request. Obviously all Tesco's advertising about "every little helps" and "we're listening" means diddly squat. More to the point it means that our data protection laws are regularly flouted by large companies and once again the consumer is shafted...

Of course the fact that I'm down as a "time poor/food rich" "low weekly spend" shopper doesn't endear me to them ;-)

Finally...

earlier this week I got my hands on a lovely K750i to replace my e770v. The K750i is a lovely phone with a nice 2mp camera. It's one I've wanted for a while but its expense was hard to justify. Anyways I have one now and have just completed the unlocking process (I debranded it last night). I used www.davinciteam.com for the unlocking/flashing software and www.thefonedoc.com for the cable and credits. It was a slightly hairy process but I got there in the end. So watch this space for higher quality pics ..

I found this aticle on mulley.net which describes the proposed development of the Marina. It certainly looks impressive and would be a major change from what's there at the moment. Though where willall the lads park their cars and buy their chips at match time ? Redevlopment of Pairc Ui Chaoimh area

London

Diarmuid and I went to London today with easyjet. The flight was delayed due to a guy getting sick just before we left the stand and for a while it looked like he would be offloaded. The only other excitement was yer one behind me giving out about a child crying - as if the parents wanted it too.

Ten minutes after getting off the plane we were on the train to Victoria. And then the circle line to south Kensington for the natural history museum where we wanderf around looking at dinosaurs and fossils. Then to the basement where they have stuff that children can touch and measure etc - snake skin, bugs, bones, rocks etc - it went down a treat.

Then to the travellodge in islington where we have a twin room for £10 and 6.50 for breakfast for 2 !

Tonight we went to the Barbican where we went to TinTin - which was a play based on "tintin in tibet" it was excellent and the characters were true to the books. It was funny and appealed to all ages.

The barbican itself is impressive. 8ack then to the hotel for a drink before bed. Night !
