So following on from
my post yesterday I decided to hand back my kit and caboodle to Three.
I checked the website and saw the Cork store (whose staff were pleasant and efficient when I dealt with them) was open until 19:00. So in between dropping kids to beavers and collecting them we dashed into town and arrived at the door of Three at 18:35.
What did I find ?
I found a closed shop. A very firmly closed shop. A shop that was definitely not open.
Lo and behold as far as Three are concerned the shop is open until 19:00. It wasn't. Now it also says that it's open late tomorrow night. Will it ?
Sheesh. Is this anyway to run a business ? Basic facts and information should be up to date on websites especially for a communications company.
God help the
national broadband tender. ...

When they open back up again maybe you could ask them how come three.ie/my3 NEVER EVER works?
Never, I repeat never, buy a 3 Phone from a 3 shop!!! I've only been in there once, and once was enough... describing the staff as inept, doesnt even come close to reality.
@ Eoin O'M - I don't understand why companies can't get their site offerings to "just work".
@ Gamma - I may be wrong but I detect that you're alluding to a terrible event which left you scarred for life ...
I rarely darken the doors of phone shops but the tales from them seem to be of incompetence , inefficiency and inability.
Des, heads up - missing "ml" off the end of that internal link.
Thanks Alastair - fixed now.
bought broadband from 3 two weeks before xmas it worked for 2weeks but it has stopped now i cant get a signal at any time .when i bought it i was told i was in a good coverage area .when i complain i get call centre in india is there any irish people i can call? co donegal
The best you can do is to go and make an official complaint to 3 (see their website) and then when they don't resolve it log a complaint with www.comreg.ie
Also have a look at www.boards.ie - they have a massive thread about 3 Broadband.
